My care is personalized for you and your individual needs. I believe in physiological birth and trust in your body's ability. A good midwife can be the difference in a difficult birth being traumatic, and a difficult birth being empowering.

BECAUSE MIDWIFERY IS MORE THAN JUST A JOB
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN A MIDWIFERY PACKAGE?
PRENATAL
Prenatal visits are scheduled every four weeks until 28 weeks pregnant.
Prenatal visits will then be every two weeks until 36 weeks.
Prenatal appointments will be weekly after 36 weeks until delivery.
Visits are 45-60 minutes in length and include diagnostic testing for the safety of mother and baby.
POSTPARTUM
After " Golden hour" and breastfeeding has been established I will preform a head to toe newborn assessment.
I will then return to your home 24-48 hours after your baby's birth.
Office visits will be at 1 week, 2 week and 6 weeks postpartum.
These visits include a thorough assessment of mother and baby.
I will also file for the Birth Certificate
& Social Security Card
I also preform these screenings:
-Critical Congenital Heart Defects (CCHD) Screening
-Newborn Metabolic Screening Nevada State
-Hearing Screening
Birth tubs are complimentary with your midwifery package. You will be given a tub to use at your 38 week visit if you desire a water birth.
There is a list of other items that you will need to gather before your home birth.A birth kit with disposable products is required and is an additional $50.
Ultra sounds, blood work, water birth supplies and educational classes are not included in your birth package.
If you have insurance we can attempt to bill or there are cash price options. If insurance does not cover your services you will be billed.
I am not covered by HPN & Medicaid.
midwifery care investment is
$4200
Pricing includes prenatal, birth and postpartum care. Homebirth is covered by some insurances. Payments can be broken up over your prenatal care. $600 is due to reserve your due date, this deposit goes towards the $4200 fee. All payments due by week 36. Midwifery care is not available for birth only services.
BIRTH
Labor support is given in active labor (5-6 cm dilated). Labor support includes the use of different techniques such as the peanut pall, rebozo and birth stool while achieving optimal results. I will also manage the position of your baby in your pelvis. Support will be continued if transfer is necessary.
