My care is personalized for you and your individual needs. I believe in physiological birth and trust in your body's ability. A good midwife can be the difference in a difficult birth being traumatic, and a difficult birth being empowering.

BECAUSE MIDWIFERY IS MORE THAN JUST A JOB
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN A MIDWIFERY PACKAGE?
PRENATAL
Prenatal visits are scheduled every four weeks until 28 weeks pregnant.
Prenatal visits will then be every two weeks until 36 weeks.
Prenatal appointments will be weekly after 36 weeks until delivery.
Visits are 30-60 minutes in length and include diagnostic testing for the safety of mother and baby.
BIRTH
Labor support is given in active labor (5-6 cm dilated). Labor support includes the use of different techniques such as the peanut pall, rebozo and birth stool while achieving optimal results. I will also manage the position of your baby in your pelvis. Support will be continued if transfer is necessary.
AM I A GOOD MATCH?
*Do you value postpartum care and plan on making it a priority to rest? Are you able to have family present for your care within 2 hours of your birth?
* Do you value your body and the importance of moving your body daily?
* Do you plan on preparing for your birth by reading, hiring a doula or taking classes?
* Do you plan on eating well and learning about nutrition during pregnancy?
* Do you vale your midwives family time? Can you only contact her Monday- Friday from 9-5pm unless it is an emergency or I am in labor?

POSTPARTUM
After " Golden hour" and breastfeeding has been established I will preform a head to toe newborn assessment.
I will then return to your home 24-48 hours after your baby's birth.
Office visits will be at 1 week, 2 week, 4 week and 6 weeks postpartum.
These visits include a thorough assessment of mother and baby.
I will also file for the Birth Certificate
& Social Security Card
I also preform these screenings:
-Critical Congenital Heart Defects (CCHD) Screening
-Newborn Metabolic Screening

INVESTMENT
Midwifery services require a $1000 deposit to reserve your due date, this deposit goes towards the $4000 fee. Each month you a required to make a payment. All payments due by week 36. A birth kit with disposable products is required and is an additional $50.
Ultra sounds, blood work, water birth supplies and educational classes are not included in your birth package.
I do not accept insurance.
